Spiritual Direction

What Is Spiritual Direction?

Spiritual direction is an unhurried space for listening—to your own soul, to the movement of the Sacred, and to the wisdom that is quietly unfolding within your life. It is a practice of presence rather than performance, discernment rather than certainty, and companionship rather than advice.

As your spiritual director, I serve as a compassionate witness to your unfolding journey. Together, we create space to notice what is emerging, to honor the questions that cannot be rushed, and to recognize the sacred invitations woven throughout your everyday life. My role is not to provide answers or tell you what to believe, but to accompany you as you learn to trust your own experience and discern the wisdom already present within you.

Every session is shaped by your unique journey. You may come carrying a dream that lingers, a season of transition, spiritual questions, grief, a meaningful synchronicity, or simply a longing to reconnect with yourself and the Sacred. Wherever you are, we begin there—trusting that the deepest transformation often begins not by striving for answers, but by learning to listen.

What to Expect

No two sessions are alike. Rather than following a fixed method, I draw from a variety of contemplative and symbolic practices depending on what is emerging in your life. Together, we’ll discern which approaches best support your journey.

Dreams are among the most profound ways the soul speaks. Through symbols, emotions, and stories, they reveal aspects of ourselves that often remain hidden in waking life—bringing unconscious patterns into awareness, offering fresh perspective, and inviting us toward greater wholeness.

I approach dreams with curiosity rather than certainty. Rather than searching for fixed meanings, I listen with you for the unique message each dream may hold. Together, we’ll explore the imagery, emotions, and archetypal themes that emerge, allowing the dream to become a doorway into deeper self-understanding and spiritual discernment.

Dreamwork can help you:

  • Deepen your relationship with your inner life.
  • Recognize unconscious patterns and recurring themes.
  • Navigate seasons of transition and uncertainty.
  • Gain clarity around relationships, purpose, and life’s invitations.
  • Integrate overlooked or disowned aspects of yourself.
  • Cultivate a richer awareness of the Sacred at work within your everyday experience.

Whether your dream feels mysterious, unsettling, beautiful, or impossible to understand, it may be carrying wisdom waiting to be discovered. Together, we’ll create space to listen.

Tarot is not about predicting the future—it is a symbolic language that invites us into deeper conversation with ourselves and the Sacred. Like dreams, tarot speaks through images, archetypes, and story, illuminating what may be unfolding beneath the surface of conscious awareness.

In our sessions, the cards become mirrors rather than answers. Together, we’ll explore the images, symbols, and archetypal themes that emerge, listening for the questions they raise, the perspectives they offer, and the invitations they reveal. Rather than telling you what will happen, tarot helps us notice what is already present and asking for your attention.

A tarot reflection can be especially meaningful when you’re:

  • Navigating a life transition or difficult decision.
  • Feeling uncertain about your next step.
  • Exploring recurring patterns or inner conflicts.
  • Seeking clarity around relationships, purpose, or vocation.
  • Looking for a fresh perspective on a situation.
  • Wanting to deepen your spiritual practice through symbolic reflection.

There is no need to arrive with a specific question. Sometimes we’ll draw a single card as a focal point for contemplation; other times we may explore a small spread to illuminate the patterns, energies, or influences surrounding your current season of life. If you do have a question or area where you’re seeking clarity, the cards become a symbolic lens through which we can gently explore it together. I approach tarot with openness, reverence, and curiosity, allowing its rich symbolic language to deepen our listening and support the work of spiritual reflection.

Sometimes the Sacred speaks in ways that cannot be explained by logic alone. A recurring animal, an unexpected coincidence, a phrase that appears again and again, a meaningful encounter, or a symbol that refuses to leave your awareness may all become invitations into deeper reflection. Rather than dismissing these experiences as random, we’ll approach them with curiosity, asking what they might be revealing about your inner life and the season you are living.

Through a Jungian lens, we’ll explore these meaningful moments together, considering how they may mirror unconscious dynamics, illuminate your current path, or invite you into greater wholeness. My goal is never to assign universal meanings, but to help you discover the unique significance these experiences hold for you.

Paying attention to symbols and synchronicities can help you:

  • Recognize recurring themes in your life.
  • Deepen your awareness of the dialogue between your inner and outer worlds.
  • Find meaning in seasons of transition and uncertainty.
  • Develop greater trust in your intuition and inner knowing.
  • Cultivate a more attentive and participatory relationship with the Sacred.

Together, we’ll practice the art of noticing—learning to see life not as a series of isolated events, but as a living conversation rich with meaning, invitation, and possibility.

At the heart of every session is the practice of contemplative listening. Before we seek clarity, we create space—to slow down, become present, and notice what is quietly unfolding within your life. In a world that often urges us to move quickly and search for certainty, contemplative listening invites us to pause and attend to the deeper movements of the soul.

This practice forms the foundation of every session. Whether we’re exploring a dream, reflecting on tarot, noticing symbols and synchronicities, or simply sitting with a question, we begin by listening—to your lived experience and to the subtle ways the Sacred may already be speaking.

Sometimes, contemplative listening is the entire session.

There may be no dream to explore, no cards to draw, and no particular direction in mind. Sometimes the deepest work is simply creating enough spaciousness to notice what has been quietly unfolding within you all along. In those moments, we make room for honest conversation, silence, reflection, and the gentle emergence of insight. What unfolds is often less about finding answers and more about cultivating deeper trust in your own inner wisdom and a renewed awareness of the Sacred already present in your life.

Contemplative listening can help you:

  • Slow down and reconnect with yourself.
  • Cultivate greater awareness of the Sacred in everyday life.
  • Clarify what is emerging beneath the surface of your thoughts and emotions.
  • Discern your next faithful step without rushing toward certainty.
  • Deepen your capacity to listen—to yourself, to others, and to the quiet movements of the Sacred.
